Ian and the lads had booked myself and dad for a general days fishing today (in other words no competitions) there was more breeze than I expected throughout the whole day. Typically it died as we came ashore in the evening. Both boats started off close in until the turn of the tide to try and find some sheltered fishing. Richard got us off to a good start as we layed half way across the dying tide rolling around. He managed a nice roker to start the day. By the turn of the tide dads boat had 4 roker and we only had the 1 so we decided to put a move  in. the next mark started out slowely for us with a few whiting coming out. then as the tide got going we had a good run of fish come through. we had several double and treble hook ups as the tide ran through. this lasted a while until the tide eased back and bites slowed up a bit.  We decided on a move to try and find some more tide and fish. this didn’t work out too well as the next couple of hours were a dogfest with just two more roker. We ended up with 27 roker for the day and the biggest falling to kevin at 14.8lbs.
