It’s been great to see a few rays showing at last. Unfortunately no huge numbers compared to a few years ago but enough to give us hope. We’ve seen a few each day over most of our last trips. The most being 8 in a day.
The smooth-hounds have been very numerous though. There’s loads of small stuff with the biggest going 8lbs or so but all of them big enough to put a bend in the rods. To give you an idea of numbers we had 3 days in a row with over 30 each day, another day with over 50 and another with closer to 100 hounds ( I haven’t had time to count up yet) .
The bass are here now and as these tides build I expect to see a few more sizable ones grace the net.
